IBPS Clerk

IBPS clerk exam is conducted every year so that various different job positions can be filled with the deserving candidates who are passionate and equally qualified as well, for the post of clerical cadre vacancies in public sector banks. IBPS Clerk Prelims and Mains are conducted within the state where the candidate live and those who qualified both these exams, will be selected for the post. From 2015, there is no Interview for the candidates whose names are there in the final merit List.

The candidates have to qualify in both the exams as per the cut offs decided by IBPS, both IBPS clerk pre and mains exam is online and will be taken on computer. One-fourth marks will be deducted for every wrong answer that student gave while no negative marking will be done for those questions that are not attempted at all.

The final score of the candidates will be evaluated on the basics of marks obtained in both the exams; however the marks obtained in pre exams will not affect the final selection and the students need to qualify main exams as well for final selection.

IBPS will shortlist candidates as per their marks obtained in mains exam and those who meet the standards will be appointed for the post of clerks in the banks.

IBPS Clerk Eligibility Criteria

The candidates applying for this job must be between 20-28 years of age and must have a graduation degree in any of the streams including commerce, science and Arts as well from a recognized university or college by the central Government of India.
