The candidates planning to give CHSL exam need to complete their 10+2 level in any stream.

SSC CHSL occurs in three levels, including Tier –I, Tier 2 exam and Tier III level as well.

Syllabus for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exam

There is a negative marking for every wrong attempt in Tier 1, 0.5 marks will be deducted on every wrong answer. The total duration of the exam is 60 minutes.

Tier 2 level will be a descriptive exam and main purpose of taking this exam is to evaluate the writing skills of the students, this exam will be taken on paper and students will choose any languages, including Hindi or English as well to give the exam. The duration of this exam is 60 minutes and carries wattage of 100 marks. The minimum passing marks to qualify in Tier-II is 33% and the performance in Tier II would be used to prepare final merit list.

Tier 3

The Tier 3 exam of SSC CHSL includes a couple of skill tests which is a pre-requisite for some government posts.

The students appearing for this exam needs to prepare four subjects that includes general intelligence, general awareness, quantitative aptitude and English, it is important to pass all different sections in the exam so that qualified students can be selected for next round.

Educational Qualification 

  • The individuals must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent exam from a recognized Board or University.
  • The ones applying for Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India need to pass 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Maths as their main subject.
