The online registration process is expected to start soon but till the time, the aspiring students can look at the exam pattern for SBI PO which will help them to prepare accordingly for the exam.

The selection process of SBI PO has 3 phases which includes Preliminary, Mains and Interview and those who are applying for the post of SBI PO has to qualify each to reach to the next phase. .

The mains will include Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 50 marks and both of these tests will be taken online. The descriptive Test of 30 minutes with weightage of 50 marks, the aspirants have to pass the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks that is decided by the Bank. A penalty for every incorrect answer will be marked in the Objective Tests of both Preliminary and Mains exams. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

SBI PO Interview Process

The total marks of candidates that are achieved in Objective Tests and Descriptive will be considered by the bank, to call then for further Group Exercises and Interview. The qualifying marks required in Group Exercises and Interview will be as fixed by the Bank. The ratio of marks between Main exam and interview for final merit list need to be 80:20 ratio.

SBI PO Eligibility Criteria

Those applying for SBI PO exams should be one of the following:

  1. He needs to be a Citizen of India
  2. Those applying for the SBI examination should be at least 21 years old but not more than 30 years old at the time of registration. However, there will be age relaxation for SC/ST candidates as per the government rules.
  3. You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University, and those who are in the Final Year/Semester of their graduation can also apply but need to show proof of qualifying the graduation.
