The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection also known as IBPS, is a recruitment body that was started with an aim to encourage the recruitment and placement of young graduates in public sector banks in India (except SBI). It also provides standardized systems for assessment and result processing services to organizations.IBPS currently functions as an autonomous body that is mainly engaged in conducting competitive exams for recruitment to clerical and officers’ posts in the banking sector.

    Exam Pattern:
    There is Preliminary Online Objective Type Test followed by Online Main Exam and Interview.  
    Preliminary online Objective exam
    : This test will be online objective type test consisting of English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The time duration for the exam is 1 hour.

    Main Online Exam: This test will be Online Objective Type Test consisting of Reasoning Ability, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to banking) and Computer Knowledge. The time duration for the exam is 2 hours 40 minutes.

    NOTE: 1.Except the English Language test, rest all are available in Hindi and English language. 2. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the objective test. ¼th mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

    Eligibility: Age: Minimum: 20 years Maximum: 28 years (According to the norms of IBPS)
    Educational Qualification: Candidate should have a Degree Graduation in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he / she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
    Computer Literacy: Operating and working knowledge in computer systems is mandatory i.e. candidates should have Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language/ should have studied Computer / Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Proficiency in the Official Language of the State/UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply is preferable.
